(Not real coral)
These stones were actually little treasures she found washed up on the beach in Ecuador. She picked them up, put them in a jar and kept them for years before she actually decided to incorporate them into beautiful works of wearable art!
I've decided to feature a classmate and fellow designer friend of mine. Her name is Laura Cardenas Designer and Art Director of Arte Sania.
Laura and I lived in Quito, Ecuador together and attended the same High School, Academia Cotopaxi.
I recently stumbled across Laura on Facebook a few months ago and learned that she designs beautiful jewelry! Her style reflects the raw beauty I came to adore living in South America. Ecuador is a culturally rich country with a flare all it's own. Laura has managed to capture that unique look, reflecting nature in her wearable compilation of shells, stones and rich textures!
What I love about Laura's designs, is how she takes the raw stone, and keeps it's shape incorporating it into a work of art. Let me give you a sample of what I mean....
